Adventure Racing (July 17-18)

"If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams"
- Les Brown

The Las Paloma(res) TRIathlon was a definite 'HIT' and we are already on next year's list to volunteer for the TRI in Rocky Point (Ensured by Red Rock, volunteer Director). Thanks again everyone that participated by volunteering or participating in race...I love you people!

Looking ahead and moving forward, I'm experiencing some mixed emotions and thoughts about what, why, and which race/event should either to participate and/or volunteer in. And, who even cares enough to partake the JOURNEY. Nevertheless, let your heart decide and for your mind to do all the work. (Yes, that one is mine...LOL!)

Due to the extreme 'dry heat' weather in the next few months, I've been primarily looking at cool and fun events in the northern part of Arizona. Albeit, camping at canyon-water falls, hiking, TRIathlon (Mountain Man), etc...

Well, one recently caught my attention and it's called 12 HOURS AT NIGHT MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE. Reminds me of RAGNAR but on two wheels. Check it out-check it. I'm definitely interested in doing this ADVENTURE RACE if teams can be formed, otherwise solo sounds challenging as well -

12 Hours At Night Mountain Bike Ride.
Will be Saturday July 17-18, 2010 in Prescott, AZ
The 12 Hours At Night mountain bike relay challenges solo racers and teams of 2 or 3 to complete as many 8-mile laps as possible in a 12 hour period, from 8pm to 8am.
The best way to enjoy a nice summer evening in Prescott, is to stay up all night with a bunch of your friends and ride your bike! That's right, break out the headlights, and come spend 12 Hours At Night with us.

GODSPEED.
